Our mission is to be a holistic child-focused early learning center that helps children to develop socially, physically, emotionally and cognitively under the care and guidance of highly trained professionals and within a child-friendly environment.

The parents know they have a safe space for their children and can count on the knowledgeable staff. Resources are readily available for the families including all types of therapies for children: speech, OT, physical, cognitive. LDCP also has organizations like Jacob’s Ladder that come in to assess the children. LDCP also uses the ISPROUT assessment.

Meet The Owner
Fran O'Brien
Fran O’Brien has been in the childcare industry as an owner since 1995. She started in Illinois and in January 2021, she opened a childcare center in Schererville, IN. She holds her AS degree in Early Childhood Education, BS in Healthcare Administration, and her MBA. She has always focused her life with children and families, from babysitting at a young age to being a girl scout leader and catechism teacher to owning her childcare facilities. Fran is married and has three children, one stepdaughter and one grandson. She loves to travel and drive her Mustang doing road trips and car shows.

Qualified, Caring, and
Committed Educators
LDCP employs staff that have a high school diploma, state required trainings, first aid/cpr/universal precautions certifications, passed a drug test and a TB test. Background checks are done on all employees and volunteers (if volunteering more than 8 hours/month). More than 50% of our staff hold a CDA certificate or college degree. They openly accept employment applications so the staff have the flexibility to attend school for accreditation or college degrees.
